The Word

Each of these paintings have a really special place in my heart. Each canvas is different but they all have one thing in common. They speak the truth. I encourage y'all to take a look at my paintings but please don't stop there. Dive into The Word and find the real meaning behind these simple verses.

Isaiah 49:16
[ I simply modge-podged newspaper to an 8x10 canvas, waited for it to completely dry and then traced my hand onto the news paper. Super, super simple.]

Philippians 4:8
[One of my favorites. The colors turned out really fun together. This is on a larger piece of wood from Home Depot.]

Habakkuk 2:14
[I free handed the world map onto this canvas. I like it because it is not super detailed, it is plain and simple but has a powerful message.]

John 3:16

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

[This was a super encouraging canvas to paint. Believe the truth. YOU ARE LOVED]

Random

These are all random paintings I have done recently:

I'm not even obsessed with whales or anything...I found a painting like this on Pinterest and had to paint one for myself. It's so fun and super super easy.

song lyrics, bible verses, dandelions and music notes/guitar <3

Just a fun beach scene.

BALLOONS
ahh, love this one. It is just a silhouette of a concert. The colors are crazy but my favorite part of this painting are the hands in the air: thumbs up, rock on, i love you, high fives, fist pump....they are all in there

hangloose: fun designs inside a hand

I love the trees on this one....it reminds me of a Dr. Seuss book

A bird out of music notes... :)
Hope you liked them!

Hakuna Matata

By far, this is my favorite painting ever. I am such a kid at heart.
Hakuna Matata: it means no worries for the rest of your days

This is painted on a wooden board, I my dad bought from Home Depot.

Pictures

Pictures are such great memories. While I love having them on my camera/phone, it means so much more to me when I print them out. Honestly,  a picture is worth one thousand words....i love them. When I found out how to put pictures on canvases I had a minor major freak-out. All you need is a printer, tissue paper, printer paper, modge podge and a canvas. It is so so easy and they turned out great.
I painted the sides and tried to make them vintage-y looking on the front. You can also write on them like I did with the first one: "live, laugh, love."

They are my favorite pictures on a canvas. Currently they are mounted on my wall.

GO DAWGS!

I am a student at the University of Georgia.... so of course I have to represent my bulldogs through my crafting. Here are a couple of UGA themed paintings/crafts:
I made this for my apartment living room. It was really fun and simple to paint.

This is a 6-paned window I bought from Hobby Lobby. I then decided to paint a different Georgia scene in each pane. I absolutely love this window. It took forever a long time to paint this but it was totally worth it. Pane 1: glory, glory to ole' georgia, Pane 2: intersection of s. finley and baxter street...aka: Creswell Hall. (Lived there last year and absolutely loved it), Pane 3: arch, Pane 4: sanford stadium, Pane 5: Georgia "G" with paw prints across the top, Pane 6: Bulldawg

This is string art of the state of Georgia with a heart over the city of Athens. I drew the outline of Georgia on a wooden block and outlined it with nails from Walmart. I bought the red string and just wrapped it around all the nails going towards the heart. This was super fun to do and it turned out awesome!

This was my first ever painting of the arch.

GO DAWGS Y'ALL!

Why am I blogging?

I am hate not a big fan of writing. This blog will not be for me to post about my daily life. However, this blog will be a way for me to show my creative side.
I LOVE art and everything about it. If I didn't have to go to school I would sit home and craft all day, everyday. Painting is my thing. I just get these ideas and I want to paint them on canvas. This blog will be a way for me to show everyone all of my paintings and why I painted them. I will talk about what I did and how I got the idea. I'll tell y'all if I like the painting or am upset with the way it turned out. This is just something I will do in my spare time so I really hope you all like my creativeness.

ENJOY!
